VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

The North End Women’s Centre offers volunteer opportunities for folks looking to gain volunteer / pre-employment experience or to give back to community (or both!). We are also open to welcoming professionals in the areas such as hairstyling, manicures/pedicures, massage therapy etc.

STUDENT PRACTICUM PLACEMENTS
Student Practicum placements are available, but limited annually, for accredited post-secondary schools. Please inquire to volunteer & student placements by emailing: info@newcentre.org. Please put Volunteer or Practicum Placement in the subject line.

We would like to acknowledge that we are gathered on Treaty one territory which is the ancestral lands of Anishinaabeg, the Dene, the Cree, the Oji-Cree and the Dakota people and the homeland of the Métis nation.

We remember that all the people of all the generations for thousands of years who lived, loved, worked, died and were buried on this land, remain here. They have not left, they have merely been transformed.

We remember to tread softly on this earth as we offer our respect and gratitude to the traditional caretakers of this land: those living now, those who have lived before, and those who have yet to come into being.
