The Board directs the management of the business and affairs of the Centre including the finance, personnel, planning, policies, facilities, and public relations of NEWC.
There are between 10 and 15 Board members at any time. At least two thirds of the members live and/or work in Winnipeg’s North End. All Board members are volunteers and dedicate approximately 5 – 20 hours of their time every month.
How to Become a Board Member
If you are interested in becoming a member of the NEWC Board, send us your resume. New Board members are elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in September; however, we occasionally look for new Board members in other months.
